Mary J Baird-Wilcock, founder of The Simplifiers in 2003, has one goal with this company...to help people simplify their lives.  Whether you're not sure how to pull off the wedding you've always imagined or just need a little help with the daily grind, Mary created The Simplifiers in response to the overwhelming feeling that life is moving at lightning speed these days and well, we all need a little help now and then.

Her event planning background started in commercial radio, with over 10+ years experience in creating and executing community events, concerts and on-site live broadcasts.  Mary has worked at a handful of radio stations in Texas, including locals: KGSR, KROX, KLBJ, KAMX, and KKMJ in either the promotions department handling events or even live on the air as a DJ.  Don't be surprised if you see her MC an event around town, as she's also partnered up with Penguin Entertainment.

She has extensive experience in concert promotions thru her work at Direct Events, handling the local marketing plans for nationally touring shows such as Seal, Los Lonely Boys, Ani DiFranco, Joss Stone, and Lucinda Williams for The Backyard (5000 capacity venue), Austin Music Hall (3500 capacity), La Zona Rosa (1300 capacity) and Antone's (550 capacity). 

Mary has a passion for event planning and a knack for getting things done.  Every event she plans reflects her acute attention to detail, from a full logistics analysis to the very personal, individual touches in the event decor & centerpieces that reflect the client's wishes...She believes no event should be cookie-cutter.

A world traveler and triathlete, Mary enjoys going on adventures with her husband (Garreth) and kiddos (Zoë and baby Otto), plus romps around the park with her dog named Otis. She is the current President-Elect and Director of Finance for the ISES Austin Board of Directors.
