You can call me Mindy…

Minder joined The Simplifiers in 2015 after meeting CEO Mary at a networking event.

She currently splits her time between working on marketing and event planning.

How she got here

Minder first got a taste for event planning and marketing while studying at The University of Sheffield. Starting as an assistant on events showcasing the international community, she eventually took on a lead planner role which saw her organizing and marketing events for up to 1000+ attendees.

This led to a job focusing on the University’s internationalisation strategy and involved planning and coordinating high profile visits and meetings. She developed strategies, organised events, used social media marketing to build relationships and gained an understanding of how live events can be incorporated into the customer journey in a variety of ways.

Studying for a Postgraduate Certificate in International Marketing and Management led to an unexpected opportunity to work in The Netherlands. Minder spent several months working in a service design company. This gave her a fresh perspective in how corporate and traditional companies can think outside of the box and be creative while staying true to their brand and vision. This is also where she learned the importance of the unexpected little details. And then, she began her journey with The Simplifiers…

Has a weird but very British obsession with good queuing systems
used to be a volunteer at the National Justice Museum – one of the UK’s most haunted buildings
Loves orangutans

What makes her different

Minder understands the importance of exceeding expectations when it comes to customer service.

This, mixed with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work through 20-hour events with a smile on her face, makes her a valuable member on The Simplifiers team.

What she does off the clock

She is a member of Missimp – the longest running improvised theatre group in the East Midlands. You can also often find her attending a variety of events in Nottingham, including thought leader talks, bizarre immersive theatre experiences, supper clubs and hula hooping classes.
