How to Simplify the 5 Love Languages – with Dr Gary Chapman
I’m willing to bet you’ve either heard someone mention “The 5 Love Languages” recently, or you’ve read the book, or you’ve given the book as a wedding gift to a beloved friend. This book has taken the world by storm, remaining on the New York Times bestseller list consistently since 2009! He’s sold 12 million copies… TWELVE MILLION, wow!!
In this episode, Dr Gary Chapman shares his brilliant framework for understanding how people give and receive love. He’s the author of The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts® and many other books.
Dr. Chapman was an absolute delight. He’s funny, down-to-earth and shares so much wisdom in this episode. I hope it brings a smile to your face, and offers you a compass to help navigate tricky relationships this season.
I really enjoyed meeting him in person and talking about the nuances in the 5 Love Languages that I’ve not heard in other interviews he’s done. Enjoy!
The 5 Pillars of “Non-Negotiable” Self-Care – with Carly Pollack
One of my very favorite things to do, is introduce you to a few of the undercover superheroes in my life, right here on the podcast. The people who’ve helped me and inspired me and well… are just all-stars in their zone of genius.
In this episode, Carly Pollack, simplifies the first of what she calls the 5 Pillars of “Non-Negotiable” Self-Care, taking a deep dive into cooking and meal prep.
Lord knows, you’re on the go. You don’t need another person to tell you to go get a pedicure or drink a smoothie. This episode goes a LOT deeper than that.
Carly is a straight shooter and a dear friend of mine. I hope you find our conversation refreshing, raw, real and inspiring, especially if you’re feeling a bit burnt out and frazzled around the edges in life right now. Plus, her new book “Feed Your Soul” will be released in 2019, so we’ll definitely have her back on the podcast soon to share the other 4 pillars of self care and to get a sneak preview inside her new book.
How to Grow Your Small Business in Simple Ways – with Nigel Collin
As a small business owner, you might fall into the trap of thinking, “oh man, I need to come up with a million dollar idea to build a million dollar business. How the heck am I gonna do that?!!”
In this episode, Nigel Collin wants to challenge that thought, and teach you how to grow your small business in simple, little ways.
He calls it, ‘The Game of Inches.” And he’s simplifying how you can create achievable and sustainable growth, inch by inch, one step at a time. That’s how you create BIG results!
One simple way Nigel talks about doing this, is by getting help from a Virtual Assistant. And in this clip, he shares a few very clever tips on how best to work with a virtual team.
This year also brought the launch of our “Hire a Simplifier” division! If you haven’t heard the news yet, you can now hire my team to build out YOUR virtual team.

How to Unlock Your Inner Undercover Superhero – with Mary Baird Wilcock
It’s a thing over here at The Simplifiers. You see, we believe that to be a Simplifier in life, you’ve also got to unlock your inner Undercover Superhero vibes.
In this bonus episode 007, I talk about how Undercover Superheroes make things happen.
They work behind-the-scenes—that’s the ‘undercover’ bit—inspiring others, making a positive impact on the world.
In little, teeny tiny, thoughtful ways or in big, massive swoops. They do the thing.
Undercover Superheroes aren’t martyrs, they aren’t victims. They don’t allow themselves to get worn down or burnt out.
In my mind, they are leaders, beacons of hope and lights for others in the darkness.
So, let’s take a moment and imagine what YOUR Inner Undercover Superhero would be like. Here’s how!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for tuning in for season one of The Simplifiers Podcast! If you’re an avid listener, you probably know a few things about me… like my obsession with breakfast tacos or my weird cat named Talia. Or my love for RuPaul’s Drag Race or watching Riverdale on Netflix. But you also know (by now) my passion for simplifying things in life.
My quest is to take topics in business and in life and SIMPLIFY them for you. So, the next time you’re at a networking event or a dinner party and someone’s talking about marketing funnels or cash flow forecasting or even conscious parenting, you can chime in confidently with your 2 cents. Like a HERO!
