Peche
One way to pay homage to the Pantone color of the year is to have your next event at Peche, Austin’s only prohibition era absinthe bar. Emerald green is present in the décor, furniture, staff uniforms, and even the beverages! Truly a one of a kind place, Peche can bring the green fairy to any fete.
This unique bar is in the heart of the Warehouse District and quaint enough ensure everyone at your event shares face time. Owner, Rob Pate says he can squeeze 100 attendees in for a seated dining experience and no more. For standing room, no more than 150 are allowed, and rightly so! The bar extends from entrance to the back of the long shotgun building, but Peche’s cocktails will have each and every guest lining the bar trying to get the attention of a smartly clad bartender.
Renting this space will make other events green with envy. The entire bar is decorated with vintage French absinthe luges and the black chandeliers hanging from the open beam ceiling add an old worldliness to the modern exposed cooling system and bare brick walls. Peche is industrial and traditional all at once, and very pleasing to the trendy young crowd as well as the sophisticates.
Renting the space requires nothing more than a promise to spend no less than $5k food/beverage minimum*, obviously depending on the time of year. SXSW and Formula 1 times, expect that food/bev minimum to be way, way higher. With Chef Jason Dodge’s French inspired menu, you and guests will feel like you stepped into pre-Prohibition France right in the heart of downtown Austin. Dodge recently created a new menu which debuted in March, just in time for the much anticipated SXSW Festival.

Owner Rob Pate does well. Festivals like ACL and SXSW keep him busy. His idea for a bar has been embraced full force by the Austin community. It truly is a gem in the vast bar scene Austin is famous for. Peche is a quality establishment with dining and bar menus on an equal playing field, you are sure to fall in love with Peche!
