The simple 1-2-3 method to grow your business

Thinking about ways to grow your business can be one of the most stressful parts of your life as a business owner. You’re the one responsible for building your network, making valuable contacts and signing new clients.

You can spend a lot of time stressing about this or… you can try The Simplifiers 1-2-3 Method.

What is The Simplifiers 1-2-3 Method?

It’s simple.

(Obviously, we have to stay on brand with our advice!)

The aim is to dedicate short bursts of time to contact people. It’s all about reaching out and building relationships – that doesn’t mean sleazy sales messages! In fact, we encourage sending love bombs! Tell people what you love about their business, their latest marketing campaign or anything else you admire about them. Spread the positivity and encourage others!

How?

Handwritten Letters:

The Simplifiers team are big on sending handwritten letters and cards. It’s pretty rare to get anything fun or interesting in the mail, so it definitely makes an impact and leaves the recipient feeling good!

Phone calls:

Another often forgotten communication method. Remember, you’re not cold calling! Find out what your contact or potential/current client is working on now. Can you help? Is there someone you can put them in touch with or is there an opportunity you want to share with them?

Emails:

You don’t want to be bombarding people with pointless emails – we all know the struggle of trying to clear our inbox… But emails are a great way to share relevant articles or opportunities. Maybe you want to share a great podcast episode, HINT HINT…

Keep it personal and specific – it’s not a one-size-fits-all mass mailing list kind of deal.

Why?

It’s an opportunity to genuinely connect and adds a personal touch to the way you do business. Use it an opportunity to show people that you really do care and that you’re genuinely interested in them.

Sure, you can sit back and hope your weekly mailing list emails will be enough to get someone’s interest… OR you can be proactive and focus on building relationships instead of pushing sales. This will keep you at the top of people’s minds when they or one of their contacts needs someone with your skills.

This leads to more organic sales opportunities and a tribe of people who surround you that are supportive, encouraging and collaborative.

When?

Aim to send at least one card or email or make one phone call a day. Whatever it takes until the phone is ringing off the hook and you can’t keep up!

If you really want to follow The Simplifiers 1-2-3 Method set this target every day this week:

Send 1 handwritten card or letter, daily

Make 2 phone calls, daily

Send 3 emails, daily

Try it for a month and see what results you get…
