New Year’s gin cocktail – Cucumber & Strawberry Collins

We asked cocktail experts Shake the Spirit based near our UK offices what they recommend we drink on Sunday evening while we wait for the midnight countdown to 2018. They suggested a twist on a classic drink. This gin cocktail looks great and has fresh flavours for new beginnings.gin cocktail

Cucumber and Strawberry Collins

Ingredients:gin cocktail

50ml Hendricks Gin
35ml Strawberry puree
50ml Soda water
15ml Sugar syrup
15ml Lemon Juice
Cucumber wedge

Garnish:

Cucumber ribbon and strawberry rose.

Method:gin cocktail

Prepare a collins glass by sticking a cucumber ribbon on the inside of the glass.
Muddle cucumber wedge in a boston shaker.
Add gin, puree, lemon juice and sugar syrup.
Add ice and shake.
Fill collins glass with ice and double strain.
Top with soda.
Beautiful and fresh ready for a new year.
