Today it was announced that The Simplifiers are one of the four finalists in the Accelerate Places Pitch Competition.
We entered our bid to Accelerate Places earlier this month and today the finalists were announced. On November 7th, we’ll be competing for a prize worth £35,000! You can watch attend the event and watch the pitches by registering for your free ticket HERE.
The competition will be hosted in Nottingham and finalists will pitch to investors from Blenheim Chalcot, backers of businesses such as Clearscore, TDX Group, Avado, Liberis, Modulr and more.
Our CEO – Mary Baird-Wilcock, CSEP will be presenting to the judges and audience before taking part in a short Q&A.
Mary will be pitching to win the prize for our latest offering – The Simplifiers Podcast. It’s an interview style show which takes (sometimes) tricky and complex topics in business and in life…and simplifies them.
This follows the successful launch of the Super Mentor Academy – an online group coaching program for event professionals all over the world.
Mary has 14+ years experience as an entrepreneur and event planner in both America and England. Furthermore, her past clients include Facebook, Microsoft and Google, and she is 1 of only 3 Certified Special Event Professionals in the UK. This background makes her the perfect host for this new podcast for creative entrepreneurs both inside the events industry and beyond.
That includes wedding planners, event producers, florists, designers, venue managers and more. However, the topics covered are also highly relevant to wider industries. That includes creatives like those working in PR, Marketing, Social Media… the list goes on!
The other finalists include Savi, Worklight, and I’m Not From London so we’re expecting the competition to be FUN!
