The Design Dish :: Travel Inspired Wedding

Up, up and AWAY!!

This might be a not-so-subtle sign that I am dreaming of a vacation…but there’s just something so fun about a wedding inspired by world travel.  (Plus hot air balloons and airplanes can make some of the cutest decorations ever.)

The perfect venue you ask? – Well an airplane hangar of course! Ever since we heard about the Redbird Skyport hangar in San Marcos, we’re DYING to do another event in an airplane hangar.  (We also planned the AIA Annual Awards Gala at the Mueller hangar back in 2009…a fun, 1920s themed unforgettable soiree!)  Oh so dreamy and quirky…two things we absolutely adore. For all of our thrift-store loving brides out there, it’s time to scour the stores for vintage cameras, binoculars, suitcases, world atlases and postcards – the perfect accent in your event decor for a travel inspired wedding.

The colors of this inspiration board were inspired by BBJ Linen‘s Navy, Red and Yellow Classic Linens.
