This talk by the award winning investigative journalist and BBC producer, Meirion Jones sounds fascinating. Find out how a British conman sold bogus bomb detectors to Iraq for $85 million resulting in the lost of 2,000 lives in Baghdad. Jones uses video clips and secret recordings to reveal how this scam was pulled off and how whistle-blowers and a Newsnight team exposed it.

Weds 11th January – 8pm – £1 Comedy Night – The Canalhouse

A cheap and easy way to work towards your resolution to get off your sofa and do more interesting things in 2017.
