We’ve booked our tickets to this! Strangers: A Magic Play blends theatre with magic and illusion. 4 separate stories are interwoven with magic to create an audience experience which challenges what we think and how we think about magic and performance. Weds, 15th Feb – 7:30pm – PubhD – Vat and Fiddle
Three speakers from the University of Nottingham will be explaining their research to a load of people in the pub.
The talks are open to everyone and will be at “pub level” – you don’t need to know anything about the topic to understand it!

Cocktail Competition
Thurs, 16th Feb – 8pm – Rampant Rabbits Cocktail Competion – Four Hundred Rabbits
We love the story behind the name of this Mezcaleria & Tequila den – it’s basically about irresponsible drunk bunnies with no self control… All will be explained at the bar.
This week, they’ve got a cocktail competition. The contestants will be judged on their ability to interact with the public… meanwhile the audience will be encouraged to heckle….

Music, Art, Party!
Fri, 17th Feb – 7pm – The Anti Gallery: “One Love” 1st Birthday Party & Exhibition – Rough Trade
The Anti Gallery are celebrating a year of creative collaboration and will exhibiting (and selling) the work of some of the artists they worked with in 2016. There will also be some live art with Matt Vardy creating a piece on the walls of the Rough Trade stage. PLUS The Simplifiers upstairs neighbours, Dizzy Ink will have a pop-up stall! Throw in some DJ sets and you’ve got your Friday night out sorted!
