Meeting at University in the 1980s three women become great friends and decide to share a house together. Capturing poignantly the passage of time, our three characters go through a great deal of laughter and sorrow….

Arts & Crafts
Weds, 5th April – 7pm – Beginners Ceramics – The Malt Cross
Get creative and make up to 8 keep sake hanging decorations, buttons. and pieces of jewellery in this workshop where you’ll be shown simple and more complex pottery techniques. Once you’re finished, your items will be taken away to be fired in a kiln and you’ll be able to pick up your masterpieces at a later date.

Film Screening & Food
Weds, 5th April – 6pm – Proper Persian – Nonsuch Studios
Nonsuch will be showing Persepolis – an animated biographical film based on Marjane Satrapi’s autobiographical graphic novel; the story follows a young girl as she comes of age against the backdrop of the Iranian Revolution. Donation bar available.
The film will be followed by a short walk down to Debsh restaurant, exclusively for our use, for a three-course Persian feast!

Pick up a New Skill
Thurs, 6th April – 6:30pm – Learn to Sew – Old Basford Community Centre
If you want to figure out what all those buttons and dials on a sewing machine do – you need to attend this workshop! Bring along your own machine or ask to borrow one, learn the basics and then make a lavender bag to take home.

Party in a Spa
Fri, 7th April – 7pm – Masquerade Pop Up Party – Beauty Temple
Beauty Temple is an oasis of calm in the city centre but once a month they open up their doors for a pop up party. You can expect a peach or strawberry bellini on arrival, canapes, an in-house DJ and a magician. Plus, you’ll get to choose a treatment – we’d personally go with the hot stone shoulder massage!
