Fri, 29th – Sat, 30th September – Wreck – Nottingham Playhouse

Nottingham Playhouse is one of our favourite venues in the city. You can usually spot a Simplifier there most weeks. Last week we watched Sara Pascoe’s adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, this week we’re going to see Wreck – a fast paced, emotionally raw thriller.

We’ve been told to expect and edge of your seat, fast paced drama. An easy-going Nottingham lad boards a train, fresh from visiting his girlfriend. His world is flipped upside down when the train never completes its journey…

Fri, 29th September – 6pm – Above the Law (Girls in Boots) – Surface Gallery

This solo exhibition by Zoe Spowage is the culmination of a four-week residency awarded to Spowage for the Nottingham Castle Open 2016. Above the Law (Girls in Boots) is a celebration of drawing, loved up with colour.

Alongside the art, you can expect live music from songstress Rita Pettai “about everything that is love”, a performance of rhythmic poetry and new writings from William Spowage and a bar.
