Poetry Night

Tues, 21st November – 7pm – Poetry is Dead Good – The Angel Microbrewery

Headliner Jamie Thrasivoulou will be joined by 2 local poets plus there will be live music and lucky dip open mic slots.

TOP TIP: The Angel does great food but make sure you give yourself plenty of time to order and eat because they can get really busy!

Stand Up Selection

Weds, 22nd November – 7:30pm – The £1 Comedy Night – Canalhouse

Expect a mix of established acts trying new material and new comedians. You never know what you’re going to get but you’ll definitely find at least a few acts that you like. See top acts practising their new material and support the up-and-coming acts as they start their careers, you never know who may become the next big star!

A Musical Comedy – With a Twist

Sat, 25th November – Rhymes Against Humanity – The Malt Cross

Fresh from sell out shows at Nottingham Playhouse and the Nottingham Comedy Festival, the East Midlands favourite musical improv team will be joined by will be joined by Heather Urquhart (Showstoppers, Maydays) and one of the UK’s finest improv comedy musicians Joe Samuel (Maydays, Treason Show).

Audience members will be asked to write down the title of a musical that’s never been seen before; if yours is drawn out of the hat, Rhymes Against Humanity will perform a brand new, fully improvised musical immediately – no scripts, no conferring, no pre-planning.
