Open Mic Night

Weds, 6th December – 7:30pm – Crosswords Spoken Word Open Mic – The Malt Cross

Held every 2nd Wednesday every month underneath Nottingham’ Victorian Music hall. Expect, poetry, storytelling, acapella singing, monologues and a featured singer each week to finish the evening.

Thurs, 7th December – 10:30am – Beginners Origami –  City Arts Nottingham

Learn the ancient art of paper folding with origami expert David Bogod. Sculpt and transform a blank sheet square of paper into something to impress your family and friends with!

Beer Tasting

Thurs, 7th December – 7pm – Brewdog Tap Takeover & Tasting – Embankment Pub & Kitchen

This is an exclusive chance to try 4 new beers from Brewdog alongside a Tapas tray and live music.  There will also be hampers and prizes to enter as well as 10% of all beers from the craft wall – a perfect excuse to get out of the house on a cold winter’s night.

Comedy

Fri, 8th December – 9pm – Major Labia present ‘Merry Nipmas’ – The Orange Tree

Major Labia are a comedy collective of witty women, graduates of the BAFTA-winning Television Workshop and more raucous than righteous. Prepare to be in stitches whilst barely being able to hold onto that mulled wine as this brilliant group storm the stage!

Fri, 8th December – A Michael Wallace Christmas Extravaganza Fashion Show –  St Mary’s Church

Michael Wallace is launching his foundation to support local charities at this big Christmas catwalk show. Join him for an evening of fashion, music and, festivities as well as the launch of his new autumn/winter 2018 collection.
