B150: How to visualize a new path for your life (ALL-STAR)
January 14, 2025

Let’s do a guided visualization exercise together: here’s how to visualize a new path for your life. Something that I love doing with my coaching clients is to lead them through guided visualization exercises and the thought occurred to me, “why not do these on the podcast, as well?!” So in today’s mini episode, I’m going to lead you through a guided meditation and visualization that’s going to help you tap into your inner wisdom and Intuition for answers.

Listen and participate in a guided visualization exercise: how to visualize a new path for your life.

Before we get started, here are a few things that you’ll need to do in order to get the most out of this.

  1. Create a safe space - no distractions or interruptions

First off, you’ll need to create a safe space where you won’t be distracted or interrupted… and also, keep in mind that during this exercise, you’ll have your eyes closed. So yeah, probably not best to do this one while driving.

Silence your phone notifications… The world can wait for the next few minutes.

Then, get comfortable in a seated position or lying down, if that feels better. You get to decide. As with all visualization and breathing exercises we do together this year, you always get to decide what is best for you… take what you need, bless and release the rest.

Okay, now close your eyes or avert your gaze to the ground.

  1. Take 3 intentional breaths together with me

Let’s take three intentional, life-affirming breaths.

Now, let your breathing come back to a normal pace, whatever feels right for you.

  1. Do a body scan and feel your feet

It’s time to do a body scan… imagine you are slowly scanning your entire body from the tip top of your head, slowly down like molasses, all the way to your fingertips, and then to your toes.

What sensations do you feel? Knots, twinges of pain, soreness, or even , on the flip side, any feelings of harmony, joy, or flow…. just notice what you feel in your body, without judgment or trying to fix it. Just scan down, ever so slowly until you’ve done your entire body.

Once you’re at your feet, really take notice of what it feels like to have your feet make contact with the ground. To be firmly rooted down, the safety and security of that sensation. What do your feet feel like right now?

  1. Time to visualize a new path for your life

Okay now, I want you to visualize yourself walking down one of your favorite streets in your city or town. You are headed towards your favorite coffeehouse or cafe to meet up with a good friend you haven’t seen in awhile.

As you’re walking there, the sun is catching your face and you feel the warmth on your cheek and in this exact moment, life is good. Peaceful, calm… and full of joy.

Right before you open the door to that cafe or coffeehouse, you catch a glimpse of yourself in the reflection of the front window.

You stop, pause and take a moment to look.

Really soak it in.

There’s something different about you today, totally captivating, and it really catches your eye. What do you see?

The person in the reflection is beaming, simply radiant, confident, and shining from within. They have a gentle, knowing smile on their face and they look like they want to tell you something.

You feel compelled to come in closer, as it looks like your reflection is about to whisper an important secret into your ear.

You lean in… and they whisper into your ear a word of wisdom about the year ahead. You are headed on a new path for your life… they’ve (actually) already trekked the journey and wanted to come back and give you some insight.

They are here to encourage you in this moment, knowing that you are on the precipice of something BIG right now. Maybe they wanted to warn you of a few pitfalls to avoid… Or encourage you to reach out to someone in your network that could open a new door for you.

Just hear what they are trying to say to you right now. It’s important, it’s a clue for your life ahead.

As soon as they are finished, say “thank you.” What a lovely gift to receive from your highest self!

And when you’re ready, I want you to open the door to the cafe, imagine yourself smiling and waving ‘hello’ to your dear friend as you head towards them… and when you’re ready, open your eyes.

—--------------

So, what did your highest self tell you? What did they say?

I want you to set a 7-minute timer, grab a pen and paper, and take this time to write down everything you remember from this visualization exercise.

One final whisper

This year, I want to encourage you to remember… most answers that you seek are already inside you now. Whether you believe in God or a higher power or something else at play here, just remember this deep inner wisdom can be found inside you now… and any time you feel lost, overwhelmed or stressed.

Just slow down, tune in with your body and your breath, do this visualization exercise whenever you need it, and ask.

Gone are the days of looking outside yourself for a magic pill or a guru on a pedestal to fix us.

This year, consider the simple idea that your Intuition knows. Your body knows. Your brain and your heart know. And it’s all waiting for you to simply ask, trust, and then decide to take daily, imperfect action by making Bold Asks.

To visualize a new path for your life, it’s just a matter of slowing down and listening to what your soul truly wants and where Source truly needs you next.

You can do this, I believe in you.

It’s time to SIMPLIFY.
