Texas Tea
As many of you may know, tomorrow, March 2nd, is Texas Independence Day. We thought we'd celebrate in true Texas style with this week's signature cocktail idea, The Texas Tea. Here in Texas, we like to put our own spin on things so this cocktail is a twist on a traditional Long Island Iced Tea recipe. Get rid of the gin and put in some tequila and viola! You have a perfect Texas Tea.A Texas Tea signature cocktail would be perfect for any event that needs a classic, tasty beverage that has universal appeal. Weddings, corporate events, social gatherings... you name it, the Texas Tea is sure to be a hit!Cheers!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 fluid ounce vodka
- 1/2 fluid ounce amber rum
- 1/2 fluid ounce gold tequila
- 1/2 fluid ounce triple sec liqueur
- 1/4 cup sweet-and-sour cocktail mix
- 1/4 cup cola-flavored carbonated beverage
- 1 wedge lemon
- 1 wedge lime
Directions:
In a tall glass filled with ice, combine vodka, rum, tequila and triple sec. Top with equal parts sweet-and-sour and cola. Squeeze juice of lemon wedge and lime wedge over top; stir.
