Venue Spotlight: Ceres Park
October 17, 2012

With an authentic farmhouse brewery on the property, Ceres Park is not for the traditional bride or cookie-cutter event. Ceres Park's 180 acre property has a cool, kick up your boots and pass me a beer feel to it.

An event's home base is the multifunctional 8000 sq/ft wood pavilion with an existing 18'x38' stained concrete dance floor. The wood pavilion comes equipped with multiple power sources, electric chandeliers and string lighting. The venue offers wood picnic tables, wine barrels and hay bales that can be staged on any part of the property.

Connected to the wood pavilion is a stone top u-shape bar with Jester King's craft beers on tap and a wood fire oven pizzeria, Stanley's Farmhouse Pizza. The venue doesn't require that you use the pizzeria as your caterer but we had a sampling of a couple of homemade pizzas and it's definitely something to consider for an event. Brewery tours can be arranged during an event for guests.

There are three ceremony options on Ceres Park's property. Brewery Hill offers the authentic farmhouse Jester King Craft Brewery as a ceremony backdrop. Guest seating is staged under the cluster of trees on the hill. A second option is an small clearing between a cluster of trees with the Texas Hill Country as the backdrop. Lastly, the ceremony can take place in the wood pavilion under their string lighting and rustic chandeliers. These three spaces are also great for company picnics, concerts, fundraisers and other non-wedding related events.

Plenty of parking is available on the property. The laid back owners also allow the use of their tractor, mule and blue pick up truck. Hay rides are also available for events. In the back of the property nestled between tall trees is a clearing perfect for a bride and groom picnic and photo session. Get whisked away to the secluded spot in the blue pick up truck after you exchange I do's.

Rental cost begins at $2,500. An additional $25 per hour is charged to stage the space for a specific layout. Amplified sound has to be lowered to a certain decibal at 10:30pm and off by 11pm due to area sound ordinance. To learn more about Ceres Park visit their website or contact Cinnamon at cprcinnamon@gmail.com or call 512-695-1441.Give us a jingle at 512-695-7744 if you’d like us to setup a venue walk-thru appointment at Ceres Park.
