Laguna Gloria features a historic building built in 1916 by Clara Driscoll who is best known for helping save the Alamo from destruction in 1903. The Villa is surrounded by lush landscape with beautiful views of Lake Austin. Conveniently located in west Austin, Laguna Gloria is only a few minutes from downtown.
There are seven different areas you can use for any event. These include: the Driscoll Villa, the Solarium, the Front Oval lawn with fountain, the Amphitheater, the Four Seasons Garden, the Sunken Garden, and the Temple of Love. Each space can be used to create your special event. The Front Oval fits up to 250 people, but if you want something more intimate, the Temple of Love fits around 80 people.
On the first floor of the Villa there is a living parlor with a fireplace nook, dining room, sun room, and a catering kitchen and butler pantry. The inside of the villa would be perfect for pictures and getting ready for your big day. On the second level of the villa there is an expanded restroom facility and the Solarium that can be used for the Bridal Suite. The Solarium includes a full length mirror and access to tables and chairs.Laguna Gloria offers a list of twelve preferred caterers. These twelve caterers are some of the best in Austin. Although Laguna Gloria does not provide any rentals, they can recommend a preferred rentals vendor. Laguna Gloria also offers a golf cart for an extra cost to transport you around the venue.
